Based from the Mercedes-Benz GL Grand Edition luxury SUV, the new Carlsson CGL45 boasts more sportiness, power, elegance and individuality.
The new Carlsson CGL45 receives a new aerodynamic package which includes a widened wheel arches, front spoiler and chromed-finished radiator grille with the leaping Carlsson horse, LED daytime running lights, and a new rear skirt. These materials are refined into perfection in the wind tunnel and are manufactured using high quality PUR-Rim.
For the engine Carlsson offers the the C-Tronic® DIESEL POWER unit which boosts the 3L V6 engine output from 265 hp to 310 hp and maximum torque from 620 Nm to 700 Nm. The intelligent C-Tronic system automatically switches off as soon as temperature, exhaust gases or quietness is impaired thus ensuring that all permitted values relevant to safety are complied with.
Carlsson also offers self-developed performance packages for further 6 and 8-cylinder engines. The V8 engine of the top model based on the GL 500 reaches 435 hp with a maximum torque of 600 Nm.
The new Carlsson CGL45 rides on a set of 22-inch 1/5 Evo Brilliant Edition light alloy wheels wrapped in Vredestein high-performance 305/35 ZR22 tires. These wheels feature not only high load capacity and low weight but also elegant design.
These huge wheels are complimented by the intelligent lowering C-Tronic® SUSPENSION which enables the car to be lowered by up to 30 mm lowering the center of gravity and reducing rolling and pitching. In addition the C-Tronic suspension system can automatically adjust depending on any road condition thus providing optimum road comfort.
Inside the car, Carlsson CGL45 offers door sills with illuminated Carlsson lettering, embossed Carlsson logos on the headrests, double-sewn quilted upholstery, and highest-quality Carlsson nappa leather or Alcantara. Wood and stainless steel can be processed just as customers wish using traditional crafting methods at Gut Wiesenhof. And in addition each vehicle is equipped with a signed plaque in the central console with a consecutive serial number.
